What we fix
| Problem | What we do | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Long pauses and loading screens | Cut or speed up the wait | The video moves at the pace of the steps |
| False starts and retakes | Keep the cleanest take of each step | One clear pass through the task |
| Wandering or tiny cursor | Smooth movement, enlarge or highlight the pointer | Easier to follow on a small screen |
| Pop-ups and notifications | Blur, cover or cut them | No chat messages or emails on screen |
| Private data in view | Blur or mask names, emails and numbers | Safe to share outside the team |
| Quiet or echoing voice | Noise reduction, EQ and level matching | Clearer speech; very poor audio can only be improved so far |
Private data in the frame
Screen recordings pick up more than people notice while recording: a browser tab with a client's name, an inbox preview, a customer record in the background. Before cutting, we watch the full recording and list everything that looks private, with times, so you can confirm what to hide. Masks follow the item when the screen scrolls, and we check the final export frame by frame around each one.
What cleanup can't do
Editing can't add detail that wasn't captured. A recording made at a low resolution stays soft when zoomed, and text that was unreadable stays that way. If a step is borderline, we'll say so and suggest re-recording only that part. Re-recording one step is usually quicker than fighting a bad clip.
Recording tips for next time
- Close chat apps and turn on do-not-disturb before you start
- Use a clean browser profile or a demo account with sample data
- Set the screen to a common size and keep the browser window the same through the recording
- Bump up the text size if the app allows it
- Pause for a second after each click so there's room to cut
- Record the voice with a headset or a USB microphone close to your mouth
Questions
Can I order cleanup only, without a full edit?
Yes. We can trim, blur and level the sound, then send the recording back for you to use as is or edit further.
What recording tools do you accept files from?
Any common screen recorder or video meeting tool that exports a standard video file. Send the original export, not a link to a viewing page, so we work from full quality.
