Onboarding and training video editing

Welcome videos, policy walk-throughs and task lessons for new staff, edited from the recordings and clips your team already made.

What we edit

Welcome videos

A short introduction to the business, the team and what the first week looks like.

Task lessons

How to do one job: open the register, book an appointment, file an expense, set up a work order.

Policy walk-throughs

Safety, privacy and HR policies explained with on-screen points and a summary at the end.

Tool training

Screen recordings of the software your staff use every day, broken into one task per video.

Short lessons work better than one long video

A forty-minute recording of a training session is useful once, live. Afterward, nobody wants to scrub through it to find the part about the scheduling system. We split long recordings into short lessons, each one covering a single task, with a clear title and a first line that says what the viewer will be able to do by the end. If your training covers ten tasks, you get ten videos and a list that shows which one to watch.

Mixed sources are fine

Onboarding material rarely comes from one place. There may be a recorded video call with a manager, a phone clip of someone at the front desk, a set of slides and a few screen captures. We put them in one style with matching title cards, even sound levels and the same caption look, so the set plays like one course from start to finish.

Where the videos live

Tell us where staff will watch: a learning management system, a shared drive, an intranet page, a private YouTube playlist or a tablet in the break room. Some platforms need a particular file type or a caption file uploaded separately. We export to match and include chapter markers where the player supports them.

When the process changes

Procedures change, and a training video with an old screen in it confuses people. Because each lesson is short, updating one usually means re-recording one step and swapping it in. We keep the project files for your videos so a later change doesn't mean starting over. Ask about this in your brief if your software or policies change often.

Questions

Can you add quiz questions?

We can add on-screen questions or pause points in the video. Interactive quizzes that record scores belong in your learning platform, and we can export the video in a format it accepts.

Can staff appear without their faces shown?

Yes. We can blur faces, crop to hands and screens, or replace a camera shot with a screen recording and voiceover.

Have a recording that needs to make sense to a new hire or a customer? Tell us what it explains, who will watch it and where it will live.
